Sure Vanderbilt and Tennessee we're separated only by the game in Knoxville. But man that feels like a wide gap. This is an absolute Trainwreck and with the RIGHT coach it would take about a decade to fix. This isn't a great job at all. It's why Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi State, and Texas A&M all found their men before Tennessee.

It's been 4 of the last 6 Vanderbilt has been State Champs right?. Expect that trend to continue.

I hate to say it, but this is overly negative. A good coach could turn Tennessee around very quickly. James Franklin took Vandy from 2-10 under the Turkey Inseminator to 6-7 (with a blow game loss to Butch Jones's Cincinnati) before going 9-4 his final two seasons on West End. A Jeff Brohm, Mike Norvell, or other up-and-comer who lives up to the hype could easily do the same or better in Knoxville. Butch Freaking Jones had the orange bastards one win away from going to the SEC Championship Game in 2016. It doesn't take much to have success at Tennessee. Their AD just keeps hiring total idiots as HCs.
