Cuonzo gonna earn that money.
I’m guessing the information flow, or lack thereof, coupled with Cuonzo’s insistence that MPJ was day-to-day may point at a difference of medical opinion between the team docs and the one the family sought.

That means that an assistant coach and the head coach are going to be a little at odds over what’s going on.
And that some of the players may feel allegiance to the assistant. Like his son.
And some to the coach.
Until today, the university was sure MPJ was coming back, rehab and day to day.

Couple this with Bri’s history of injuries and some buzz about the Porter family not being super happy with her care in rehab. And just a bit (maybe more) of a helicopter mom and we could get a full on shitstorm.
Hope Cuonzo is ready to navigate some waters.

Wow
Are there any limits to your fatalism? That was some serious mental gymnastics on display there to arrive at the worst possible outcome.

I didn’t make it up.
Member yesterday when you were chiding the board for fatalism on losing him for the year?
Sit back and watch grasshopper. The family is already posting weird post op photos from surgery.

No, but I do remember this
You don't know shite.
You're just trying to connect dots and arrive at the most morose conclusion possible.

Why do you guys need to turn every thread in this section into an argument? Have no opinion either way. Just really annoying.

I’m not really connecting dots. I’m telling you what I’m being told.
The only part I connected was a helicopter, homeschool mom. The rest was texased to me.
You don’t believe it, that’s fine. It’s a rumor mill. I’m not making anything up.

Oh shite. You are right!
This definitely looks pretty gloomy and is screaming I'm pissed at Mizzou and am going to have my family do everything possible to ruin their season and program.
Yikes

I didn’t say anything like that. Not sure why you would say I did.
I mean, other than you being a fricking moron.

Yes you did. You said that the family was upset about the handling of injury. You said that it's created a riff between Zo and Sr. You said his overbearing mother was going to cause problems. You offered up "weird post op" photos (which I linked to for you) as proof of these claims.
It's all right there in your posts. Read them

That doesn’t mean they want to injure the university or ruin the season. They think they’re advocating for their son and his financial and athletic future.

I'd imagine that Zo wanted him to play this season and the family wanted him to get surgery so he could go to the NBA.
Back injuries are sometimes just about pain tolerance.
He could have gotten the surgery after the season and would have been ready for the NBA season, but that would put his draft stock at risk.
I could definitely see there being two differences of opinion on the matter.

Any chance the rant comes up with a "block" button?
It would be nice to be able to debate pro's and con's here minus the paid pumps.

What is infinitely more likely than this nefarious Zo vs the Porters scheme that we've cooked up for some reason is this...
Everyone wanted him to play. They tried treatment (thus day to day), didn't respond. Had a couple doctors recommend surgery after treatment was ineffective, culminating in the trip to Dallas seeing one of the top back specialists in the country. He said surgery, they had surgery. The end.
Now, I know that's not near enough red meat for some of you guys but use your noggin.
I know it's probably fun for some of you to imagine up these off the wall schemes and arrive at the worst possible outcome so you get to say "Oh boy, that's so Mizzou lol" but it's just all incredibly far fetched and there is absolutely nothing to support it.
