Point being, people can look past A LOT when a HC is successful. I don't believe GM woukd have the success necessary.

I'm in agreement this, and I think lots in the state are too and lots aren't.

I know what I'm getting with Gus and it will be around 7 wins each year... Bareley above what we have now. Perhaps with the right qb, he could hit a 10 win season, but overall I think it'd be somewhere in between Bert and Nutt. That's not exactly Bobby P in his prime. I also think we'd recruit about where we are now...probabaly around 25 every year, but with far more players from Texas and Arkansas. I do know that every single rock in the state would be turned over for talent, though.

Personally, I'd like to see what Kiffin could do here, and that's not a joke. He's an arse, yes but he could finally get us into the upper 15-17 or so of recruitng and I believe his offensive philosophy is actually a far more advanced than Gus's...especially now that Briles has given his influence.

I know there's probably about a 5 percent chance of Freshwater coming here and probably an 85-90 percent chance of Gus coming... If Long were still here though, I'd know there a 100 percent chance neither would be hired...

Someone told me just tonight that Kiffin is in town. Have no idea if dude knows what he's talking about, but he seemed pretty sure Freshwater is here now.
