Whether you like it or not, Barry Odom has proven that there is reason to believe in his program.

4 wins in a row (versus bad opponents) is what should have been expected, and he has delivered by blowing them all out in convincing fashion. His win total has improved over last year. This team looks to be playing competent football.

Fingers crossed he'll win the final two, but regardless of those games, I believe (and I think Sterk will agree) that he has earned a year 3.

Let's make a damn bowl game now!

BO deserved the criticism he got early in the season. Getting blown out by Purdue is/was unacceptable. Regardless of how some on this board took it the negative remarks, all of us want the best for Mizzou and wanted us to win out. I’m optimistic about what this team can accomplish next year with so many returning players again (and hopefully Lock).

I just hope BO and the staff improves the recruiting. We have some talented players that weren’t highly recruited playing well, but Mizzou can recruit better than the likes of Ole Piss, USCe, and Kentucky.

I'd agree with that. Team has made nice strides, albeit against bad competition.

He may have earned more than that. Wouldn't surprise me to see Sterk give him a raise and extension to help on the recruiting trail.

Next year could be rough though with a tougher schedule if Lock leaves early.

How does it get better from here though? The players y'all have now are losing years, Moore is gone, which is great, but also bad I guess. The recruiting is really about as bad as it can get. They needed to accomplish something this year to pick up on that, and although they are coming on now, they gave away the opportunity to start the season.

I would never consider wins over Florida and Tennessee as being against "weak competition".

Missouri just beat two SEC blue bloods in back to back weeks. Don't give them anything less than a standing ovation.

In my mind he needs to win at least one of the final 2. I'm likely alone on this, but he has yet to win my SEC road game. He needs to win an SEC road game to earn that 3rd year IMHO.

One of the more underrated coaching jobs this year belongs to @Coach_Odom. Tigers could win 7 regular-season games, and he walked into an absolute mess, campus-wide, after the protest. He's kept his head down and improved that program.
