He has slowly been pulling State away from OM to the point that they honestly are not our measuring stick anymore.

Look at it this way, State is likely about to go 9-3 this year, no big deal except that equals the best season in modern OM history and what they could only hope to accomplish through massive cheating and the ensuing scandal,

If he stays and keeps his foot on their neck they are done and we own MS talent for the forseable future and that would lead to exactly what you describe.

I think you meant, slowly turning in Ole Miss for recruiting violations. If you call going 5-7 last year and beating a team that had given up on the year pulling away, I can’t help you. The only thing that saved Mullen was the NCAA.
