Seriously, what's the problem with Tennessee?

I've never seen this program so low before. I know they haven't really been awesome lately, but this year is just another level of bad. What's going on in Tennessee?

Alabama and Saban’s ability to be like his former boss with the Pats(Browns).
Which is what the problem is with every program that dreams to win the SEC.

Lack of discipline IMO. Started under Fulmer with his indefinite offseason suspensions and police ride alongs, and continues to this day.

This year may end up being their worse ever, but remember that Derek Dooley never had a winning season.

Fanbase has bailed, and the players are hurt by that.

Do y'all remember the last coaching search for Tennersee?

They think they can get a big name, but if I recall no one wanted the job.

I'm sure it's only a coincidence that Tennessee football started its long decline just after a former UT prof leveled serious accusations of systemic academic misconduct at the school. The two are, I'm certain, in no way related.

Research how many times Tenner has actually won the SEC since integration and you will see that they had been trending towards this for years

Sec office in Birmingham said Tennessee would have cycled back up by now. That's the reasoning they gave on keeping cross rivalries.

Tennessee seems to have settled into a rut of self imposed mediocrity. To think that twenty years ago they were the top program in college football, and today they haven't done anything noteworthy since making an appearance in the SECCG ten years ago.

They plumbed new depths with the loss last Saturday. That was enough to sicken even the least squeamish.

My woefully uninformed and vague view of their history is that they’ve had a series of bad coaching hires since they ran Fulmer off. Their whole athletics department has underachieved for about 20 years I think. Talent squandered left and right. I feel like I’m gonna be able to tell legends to my kids of the time long ago when the orange T was feared.

It has been said before, but it's karma. Watching fatass Phil's halftime interview last week changed me from feeling a little sorry for the Vols to wanting to hang 66 on them like we did against OM.

frick you, Phil.
