Westgate Super Book has Bama as a 24 point favorite.

How do you bet if you have to put the money down this morning?

I probably bet LSU to cover in something like a 31-17 type game.

24 I'd say LSU

I think it'll be something like 27-10

24 is a lot but I think our defense will be on the field all game and wear down. I would not confidently bet on LSU to cover.

31-3 or something along those lines. I'd take Bama to cover.

If I were a betting man, I would toss 100 on LSU to cover that.

That’s a smart spread for Vegas, just enough people with no idea if the Troy LSU team will show up, or the AU LSU team will. Can I just bet on LSU to lose and leave the spread alone?

Bama point spreads in SEC games this year have been crazy. If I recall correctly they covered big time against Vanderbilt and Ole Miss, failed to cover against A&M, and barely covered against Arkansas.

They also covered against FSU but failed to cover Fresno St and Colorado state.

If I had to bet I would bet LSU +24. This game always seems to be played a little more conservatively and LSU's defense looks competent enough to give Alabama issues. To cover 24 I think Alabama would have to come close to a shut out and that's always hard to count on even if Alabama has shut out LSU twice in the last 6 meetings.

LSU probably won't score with that awful offense. If Miss St can score 37, then Bama should easily be in the 40s.

So, Bama 48-0. Yes, Bama covers the spread.

I guess it comes down to whether or not Bama's D is better than Auburn's 2nd team D.

24-27 point margin sounds right. LSU's D has speed but not the power to slow the best running game in the league.

Bama's D against LSU's young O line, plus Guice isn't in top form and Etling at qb!?! That is a recipe for disaster. Just calling it like it is.
