In the scenario that undefeated Alabama loses a close game to undefeated Georgia, and there are no other undefeated conference champions, I can totally see both of them making the playoff.

The committee already showed they don't value conference championships that much by selecting Ohio State over Penn State last year.

This... I don't envision that UGA would get the same benefit of the doubt, even in the event of a really close game in the SECCG unless there are no more than 2 conference champions (and/or ND) with less than 2 losses.

I mean, it's *possible*, but would be a bit of a long shot, particularly given that UGA would likely be the #4 in that case... not going to immediately rematch UGA/Bama... don't believe there is any kind of caveat for same conference teams in CFP?
