Tom Petty is definitely from Gainesville. I'll give him that. But so far in this thread there has been nothing but conclusory remarks from UF fans that Tom actually followed the UF football team. Where is the evidence of that?

Tom was an artistic type, not a sports guy. I doubt he followed the Gators. On the other hand, Kenny Chesney did narrate the Steve Spurrier bio on ESPN. And Florida Georgia Line plays the WLOCP. Those are artists who probably do follow the Gators.

Kenny Chesney is a fan whore. But if you were to ask him he is most likely a VOL fan deep down. Happens when you grow up 30 mins from Neyland. He narrated the color orange documentary too.
