A&M has a 18 yr old QB that hung with Bama, Franks sat all last year and looks like he doesnt know what the hell is going on out there.

If Zaire cant beat him out then fk it, put in the RS.

Thompson was open on 4th down, he throws into triple coverage instead

I would agree with you on changing QBs if it wasn't for the fact we have used many QBs and only Grier has been good. At some point it comes down to coaching up the QB and giving him game plan to succeed. We don't use our playmakers nearly enough. At this point we need an OC change at the end of the season unless we clean house after 2018.

Yes, A&M has a young QB who has great wheels...but isn't a great passer yet. And his QBR against Bama was 27.7 which is bad. 237 yds passing (mostly short passes) 1 TD and 1 INT. A&M only rushed for 71 yds on 40 carries against Bama.

I posted in August what to expect if Franks started, he is 6'6" and skinny as hell. He is growing into his body slowly...I swear he looks as if he is losing weight, not gaining it. His jersey is so loose on his chest. He doesn't like contact and he makes mistakes at times because he doesn't know how to manage the game yet and forces things. He is our most talented QB by far and is learning game by game...that's another reason for fewer pass attempts....the coaches are trying to get him settled.

We saw what happened with Zaire in meatchicken game...he isn't able to throw accurately and teams will stack the box. It might be worthwhile to use him in spot duty and give his wheels a chance...I don't know.
