The whole offense, outside of the running backs, had a bad game. Oline wasn't handling their own and got whipped in the second half, WRs had drops and trouble blocking, Hurts missed on multiple throws, was tucking and running a bit too quickly and it seemed like he got happy feet. Regardless of the final score, it just wasn't their best job and the defense helped them out a lot as they usually do.

Hurts just missed on some throws - the deep bomb down the sideline and the crossing route Ridley had to dive for instead of catch and run come to mind. He also was quick to try and scramble and run, abandoning the pocket.

That was probably partially due to the oline having a bad game; however, I could also make the argument that if Hurts had stayed in and hit more of his throws then we could have worked the mid range / quick passes and gotten the A&M d to soften up a bit.

Are you saying you think Hurts had a good game?

ETA: Not that it matters (it shouldn't but it does to some people). I don't want Tua to start, I really like Hurts because although he is an average passer, I think he is improving in that regard and he is an exceptional runner.

I sometimes wonder what it is like to be a bama fan. Complaining after a win on the road in a tough environment against a team that has quietly improved since the UCLA game .

Yall were due for somewhat of a let down after the last two weeks. It is hard to stay up for every game even a Saban coached team is going to have those games.

Complaining about the first turnover since last season and a QB who has been pretty good with his only loss being to a team that was led by a 1st rounder in the NC. And that was after Hurts drove his team down in the 4th quarter and took the lead.

Gosh, I can't imagine what it would be like here if Saban weren't your coach and yall were regularly only winning 9-10 games a year with the occasional NC caliber team.

Anyone questioning Saban after the run he has been on is pretty hysterical.
