Overall Fromm has simply shown that he is the better QB in spite of the fact that Eason has the benefit of an entire season of experience.
I don't think we will be able to say that for sure until we see more than 2 series from Eason this year.
The offenses are completely different from this year to last year - namely because we are running the ball very well now and we haven't had to play from behind much at all (credit to an improved defense!). Eason was asked to do much more much earlier in his career because we couldn't run it ( 55 attempts in his 3rd game). It isn't a fair or very logical comparison.

bullshite. We're running the ball now because Fromm is completing his passes.

If Eason wasn't rated so highly by 247 two years ago, would you still be this confused about what the coaches should do?
If you have something that works, you don't make a change because you think something else might also work.

Valid and we will know soon enough. My eye test suggests that Fromm has the better football IQ and while he probably doesn't have the NFL level arm strength of Eason, I think his ability to quickly assess the field situation, get us in the right play (Smart's words) and make timely accurate passes more than makes up for any difference in arm strength.
Bottom line: If Fromm performs well on yet another big stage, this time in Knoxville, it's going to be very difficult for Kirby to rationalize starting Eason even after Eason is completely healthy. It's not a matter of the hot-hand syndrome, etc.; rather it's all about playing the starter who has proven himself in both games and practice aka the starter who gives us the best chance to win.

That's one of the downsides of being hailed as a messiah - you are expected to deliver messiah-like performances. Unrealistic expectations aren't his fault, though; the kid can only do what he can do.
