Who's Day Will Sumlin Ruin On His Way Out?

Any one of 20 different plays could have gone differently in the UCLA game and we'd be 4-0. I'm glad it worked out the way it did though. We would be hot garbage in disguise if we were going into Bama at 5-0 and I'd be drunk on Kool Aid. False hope be damned.

Now the only question left is this: Who's day will Sumlin ruin on his way out the door?

4-8 Floor

Bama is the only guaranteed loss on the schedule.

I agree completely , thank goodness for the UCLA loss or we would all be propped up for the ultimate let down again

If fatty wop is your name for Chin Pubes then you're wrong. Even Liucci has accepted that Sumlin is done if things go how we think they will.

He was making excuses this morning.

Here's a paraphrased version of what was said.

If you're going to "throw away" the 2012 season because those weren't "his players", then you have to throw away the 2013 class as well because they're all gone now.

What kind of mind-numbingly stupid argument is that?

He also tried to give Sumlin credit for Myles Garrett's development (when he actually got worse after his freshman year).

Not all of us. After 3 consecutive years of nice records going into the bama game, some of us know what to expect.

But who am I kidding I would've bit on that sucker

He will collectively ruin the “day” of our entire fan base when he gets retained for one more year after going 8-4 again with another loss to LSU....

But seriously, it is a weird place to be that our schedule pretty much has just one gaurenteed lost and one guaranteed win remaining. I guess that’s a good thing and should make the season more interesting.

there's no way we have 5 more wins on that schedule.

7-5 if he's lucky. probably 6-6. scar, nmex and an "upset" over one of the remaining teams. probably ole miss.

bumlin needs 9 wins to keep his job. that was before the ucla debacle. even if he makes it to 8, it doesn't save his job.

it does look like we have a qb for the foreseeable future, so that's a plus.

Until the home team wins a single game in the A&M/Auburn series and A&M beats LSU under Sumlin, that's THREE guaranteed losses.

Here's another odd stat.

A&M hasn't won a game in the State of Florida in 73 years and is 1-4 overall.

1944 - A&M 70, Miami 14 (Miami, FL)
1957 - Tennessee 3, A&M 0 (Jacksonville, FL)
1962 - Florida 42, A&M 6 (Gainesville, FL)
1968 - Florida State 20, A&M 16 (Tallahassee, FL)
2007 - Miami 34, A&M 17 (Miami, FL)

I'd pretty much guarantee losses against AL, AU, LSU, and MSU. That alone is enough to sink him. But just to make sure, I hope he finds a way to lose to SC this weekend

I'd rather the unknown of a new coach, than the known of a mediocre commodity like Sumlin

that logic dictates Sumlin is always correct to play for OT.

While it has been weird trading off wins as the away team every year with auburn quit acting like it’s written in stone, next you’ll tell us you believe in ouija boards and unicorns. It is very likely we lose to auburn this year because we are a bad team and they’re decent, but it’s not gaurenteed.

A trend is a trend, until it’s not.....

I still LOL at stories of fans who made that trip, as if they went expecting to see a great stadium full of nice fans in a nice part of town.

The AU game is at Auburn. Which means it's a guaranteed W.

I'm pretty proud of that one. Existence is pain to a Texas A&M fan. We just wanna die!
