Yes, I conceded that in the post you replied to. The fact that he hasn't done very well this season compared to what we know he can do from previous seasons wasn't actually being put up for debate. I understand -- and I say this without the slightest bit of snarkiness -- that most people don't follow Vandy players as much as players from more prominent universities, but Webb's track record from previous seasons shows he's is quite capable of much better. Part of the problem, as DoreonthePlains correctly notes, involves some OL woes. Part of it is just inexplicable regression. But it would be a mistake -- a mistake, I noted, your coaches aren't likely to make -- to just assume Webb is no threat simply on the basis of the three games thus far this season while throwing out all other available evidence that he's a solid (and sometimes very good) running threat.

Fitzgerald is the only QB in the SEC this year that Bama should be losing sleep over.
