Vandy hasn't proven themselves yet but most of the good offenses that faces Saban makes his defenses look bad. It's the bad or overrated ones that makes it look good.

all this graphic says is that an efficient QB who doesn't make mistakes give their team a shot to beat Bama.
In order to beat Bama, there must at least be a threat of a run game. Against MTSU and K-State, you've averaged 2.03 YPC.
You have no chance to win this game. Sorry.

One of those does not belong. In any world.

Three of the four QBs Alabama lost to were Heisman Trophy winners.

I hate that Chad Kelly had to leave Clemson

You're going with stats, but you need to examine the roster. Webb has been a very good RB for us. There's no question he seems to have regressed this year, but pretending that he isn't capable of being a threat is something only fans would do. I guarantee you your coaches have given him special attention just in case he returns to form.

What I get from this is surprise that it's only happened 6 times since Saban's been there.

We have no evidence to suggest he's capable of doing anything remotely close to what will be required to beat Alabama. Who was the last team to beat us whose quarterback was no threat to run?
Against your two FBS opponents, Webb has rushed 45 times for 95 yards. He's a non-factor.

Webb has the 18th most rushing yards of any SEC ball carrier. The OL may be struggling to create the running lanes, but Webb is far from a non-factor. He's just not getting much help up front.

Yes, I conceded that in the post you replied to. The fact that he hasn't done very well this season compared to what we know he can do from previous seasons wasn't actually being put up for debate. I understand -- and I say this without the slightest bit of snarkiness -- that most people don't follow Vandy players as much as players from more prominent universities, but Webb's track record from previous seasons shows he's is quite capable of much better. Part of the problem, as DoreonthePlains correctly notes, involves some OL woes. Part of it is just inexplicable regression. But it would be a mistake -- a mistake, I noted, your coaches aren't likely to make -- to just assume Webb is no threat simply on the basis of the three games thus far this season while throwing out all other available evidence that he's a solid (and sometimes very good) running threat.

Fitzgerald is the only QB in the SEC this year that Bama should be losing sleep over.

There are only 14 schools in the SEC, and he's a featured back. That's un-good.

Um...That's in SEC history, not this year.

It's understandable. The running attack has absolutely been woeful. Alabama is NOT the team you want to try and right those woes against, but the rushing attack is still a threat with Webb back there. I'd also expect to see him used more in the passing game to try and stretch Bama's defense. We saw it a little against MTSU.
