My point is they're in the same state. Therefore they'll ALWAYS play each other.
So, if Auburn heads East, then Ala./Aub. remains & Tn./Vandy remains. Goodye 3SIO!

You know the SEC won't give that up. So.....that's the glue keeping any same state school split in divisions.

If Mizz. is going West, they're going with Ky., SC, Fl., or Ga..
& those combos, my friend, are as stupid as when they put the Braves in the NL West grouped with LA, San Diego, & San Francisco.

His actual twitter quote?

"I tell my SEC friends they need to play 9 (league games). I wish we all did. We’re all after the same prize"

Yeah. easy to say that when you want your team to have the easier path and impede your opponent in the SEC.

West Virginia's non conference by year for his 7 seasons

2017 Virginia Tech (rivalry) + East Carolina + Delaware State (FCS)
2016 Mizzou (4-8, non brand) + Youngstown St (FCS) + BYU (9-4, ND Lite)
2015 Maryland (3-9 in B1G) + Liberty (FCS) + Georgia Southern
2014 Alabama (Chick fil A) + Towson (FCS) + Maryland (rivalry - B1G)
2013 William & Mary (FCS) + Georgia State + Maryland (rivalry - ACC)
2012 Marshall (Coal Bowl) + James Madison (FCS) + Maryland (rivalry - ACC)
2011 Marshall (Coal Bowl) + Norfolk State (FCS) + Maryland (rivalry - ACC)

He needs to put his money where his mouth is because his schedule has FCS schools every year he has been there. Aside from the Chick Fil A game with Alabama it is not like West Virginia is scheduling heavyweight games every year against traditional powers like Ohio State or Southern California, much less closer SEC schools like Florida or Tennessee.
