letting his field goal kicker give them field position?

Since there is practically no way for this to happen, did you have a mind fart and mean to say punter instead of field goal kicker?

This is what I'm expecting him to do, but that is what UF is likely expecting and will stop the run to force the inexperienced QB to throw. UF's defense would love nothing more to see Dormady throw on 3rd and long. Trevor Daniel is averaging 44.6-yards per kick with a 70 yarder in the GT game.

I don't think that's what he was trying to do in the GT game, it's just that GT's defensive front was more physical than UT's OL. As for Dormady, he struggled against Georgia Tech, but he stayed mentally tough and made some good throws to help win the game. For a young QB, that is unbelievably valuable experience. In his first start, he faced serious adversity, dealt with it, kept battling and came out on top. That says a lot about him and promises a lot for the future. He has confidence, the coaches have confidence in him and the team has confidence in him, I think, and that will serve him and his team well going forward. The problem UT faces is that UF has a good defense, probably better than Georgia Tech's, and that soft UT line will have to step up much better than it did against GT.

The other side of the matchup, UT's defense vs. Florida's offense, looks on the surface to be the definition of a cripple fight. But a look beneath the surface suggests that, without a dominant DL like Michigan's suffocating them, the Florida QBs might be able to make something happen. Franks was a true freshman starting a season opener with a DL that was on him before he could even secure the snap. Anybody who can beat UF's OL like that will beat them. Defenses that are soft up front and can't (I'm looking at you, Tennessee) may be surprised by his ability.

Unless Irma's effects have seriously fatigued or distracted the Gators, I will be surprised if they don't win this game by at least 10.

You hit it.

UT is charmin soft. GT pushed them around all damn night. If GT hadnt fricking fumbled GT would have beat that soft UT arse 35-21.
