Saw on SEC Now an interesting stat.
Vandy has 1 win over a ranked non-conference team. One, came in 1946. (they beat #20 NC State 7-0)
They get a #18 ranked Kansas State at home this Saturday.

Using my secret matrix, I've managed to retroactively rank every one of our historical non-conference opponents in the top 25. So this post isn't entirely accurate.

Vandy has a real shot making it two. I really like their team. They leave it on the field and play hard every snap. I picked them to win this game.
ETA: They might not be world beaters but they've come a long way in recent years and now their fans expect to win games. I'm all in. Love to see them go bowling again.

I'm torn on this. OTOH, I tend to root for Vandy when we're not playing (I like to see home state teams do well) but OTOH Shurmur is playing out of his mind and I don't want to see that happen against quality opponents. I don't want the hassle of someone playing like he's Cutler/Manning reborn.
