Thank you very much. It was an interesting year in that we had so many guys making their way up in the record books. Presumably with a new QB next year and so many new skill guys, we won't have that (although if Ruggs keeps up his blistering pace he may very soon be on the TD list ).

The main thing to keep an eye on for next year will be how high D. Harris can climb on the career rushing list. He looks like he'll have a good shot to become the 8th guy in school history to reach 3,000 career yards (currently at 2,197).

More interestingly, he's at 6.7 yards per carry for his career right now on 326 carries (for some context, Derrick Henry had 395 carries in 2015 alone). The highest YPC average in school history for someone with at least 400 carries is 6.3 by Bobby Marlow. I think Harris will have a chance to get that record.

I’m a stats nerd so I enjoy checking this thread every week too. I know a lot of it has to do with changes in the game, but it’s amazing how Bama’s record books have been re-written under CNS. It’s not like we had bad teams and players the 100 years before CNS.

I’m hoping D. Harris has a big year next year and moves up the list. I feel like our rushing game was at its best in ‘09 when we had real defined roles for the RBs: Ingram - lead, Trent - every third series, Upchurch - passing down. I’d like to see that this year with DH, NH, and JJ with some extra snaps/packages for a healthy JJ. Obviously we’re expecting a more dynamic passing game next year than we had in ‘09 but that doesn’t mean the ‘09 formula for the run game can’t work.

Darby and Yeldon came up short in their bids for 3 seasons of 1,000 yards. Hopefully Damien will fare better.
