I'd love to see he go somewhere, somewhere other than Tennessee and just watch Rocky Top implode

Jon has a home in Knoxville, his son is a student at VOLS, wife went to VOLS.

Will be a painless process to send Butch back to the MAC at season's end as King Jon ascends to his rightful throne.

John Gruden can make the worst player on the field sound like they are going to the HOF. Just from one pregame pep talk TN would be preseason national champs for life.

Heard we are sending a train to pick him up. The jet thing didn't work so well.

After being out of coaching for a decade, and out of college coaching for a quarter century ... I would expect Dooley level failure and ineptitude.

His coaching will be rusty and his schemes outdated. He'll hate the work and effort needed for the recruiting trail. And it won't take long for him to scratch that coaching itch he thinks he has and begin to miss retirement and the ease of his TV gigs.

He'll last 2-3 seasons, they'll be shitty seasons, and he'll set the program back further than he found it.

What did the guy ACTUALLY do? Won with Tony's defense because the offense wasn't all that.
Dude is not great and has been out of football forever as a coach.

Coach Sabah might allow him the privilege of being Alabama's offensive coordinator

JG's like that girl that tells UT "you're really cute and I would love to be with you if it weren't for my boyfriend, who is such an a$$ but just won't leave me alone". And UT fans wait breathlessly in the wings, believing that he's going to drop everything and sweep the program off it's collective feet.

Note to Vols; JG's retired from coaching. Even if he did drop everything and come to K'ville, he's impotent and can't give you what you want, girl.

Gruden has the best deal now. No pressure with big money. He had his chance to coach the Vols and turned it down.
