New country is awful. Old country is timeless.

Sums it up nicely.

Florida Georgia Line is a perfect example how awful today's country music has become. Nashville has gone to shite.

People have been saying this since country started.

Outlaw country is ruining everything.

Then you had Alan Jackson & George Strait doing a song about the day country die.

We all thought Keith Urban & Racel Flats turned country into boy band music.

Now it's bro country. Basically a mixture of bad rock & hip hop with a fiddle.

Pop/bro country is awful. But there is some incredible music being made.

Subgenres like "red dirt," "Texas country," and bluegrass crossover country have a lot of great artists who are currently touring (Randy Rogers Band, Cody Johnson, Whiskey Meyers, Stoney Larue, Wade Bowen, Turnpike Troubadors, Tyler Childers, and William Clark Green just to name a few).

That's not even to mention guys like Chris Stapleton and Sturgill Simpson who are killing it in Nashville.

Country music is not dead, my friend.
