I have trouble getting excited about any of these guys. I'm starting to realize that most coaches are like really fine women:

Nothing is done until it's done, but I could see Fisher telling him to stay and hopefully win a champ and then come over. It would be a nice recruiting boost to say you just won a national championship.

This is done. Promise.
Will definitely check around and get back if I hear something, but it won't be Coley. You'll hear other names soon I'm sure. Coaches are calling Jimbo left and right for that spot.

What is the status on Brewster? That is going to be the key to the future recruiting.

Another board is saying he isn't coming and will go to UF.

Brewster is considered one of the country’s top recruiters and many observers expected him to join Fisher at A&M. However, Brewster also wanted to weigh is options and the SEC East may be a more viable alternative for him.

If I were a coach right now I think I'd wait until the 10th of January to see what kind of shake ups happen with that new 10th position opening.

Unfortunately sounding like Coley confirmed he is staying a Georgia for a raise, and Brewster is leaning more heavily towards staying in the East (Florida leading the pack as mentioned above)

I don’t care about coley, but I’m bummed about Brewster. You could see it coming though.

This assistant coaching hire period is really depressing.

Jimbo is air balling on all of his major targets.

We're just doomed to suck forever, I guess.

frick.

i'll wait until he's actually made his hires, but i'm with you. it isn't great that he's whiffed on 2 out of 3 of his initial targets, assuming he was in fact going after brewster and coley.

Billy reporting a hire should be announced today. Not OC or DC though

Isn't Jimbo basically his own offensive coordinator? I think he calls his own plays, or at least he has in the past. We already know what Jimbo's offense looks like and what he wants to do there. The offensive assistants will mainly just be executing his plan, it seems to me.

Yeah from what I understand he is, which is why I’m not concerned about Missing our on Coley, other than the fact that’s who he wanted and couldn’t get.
