That's on him, not Florida

McElwain said to kick rocks, pretty much was his decision. Grier wanted to stay.

Probably will cost McElwain his job. Only chance he had at having a capable QB

I heard he left because Mac wouldn't guarantee playing time. I'm not sure why Mac would do that but it is difficult to promise someone playing time, which in all cases is a lie. Mac should have said, "you're my guy, you've been starting all year, of course, your the man". That's not lying.

Grier was the one QB since Tebow that moved the offense. The kid can ball out and it sucked watching him sling it for WVU last night instead of OnB. I think he'll be a Heisman candidate this year as well. Laptops and roids have ruined this program.

Not so fast, my friend...

But in mid-October, the NCAA suspended him for 12 months for testing positive for a performance-enhancing drug. Grier said at the time that he took an over-the-counter supplement which contained a substance banned by the NCAA.

Unsure if Florida would ever give him his starting job back, Grier transferred to WVU last summer.
