I fail to see how this is anything serious for Auburn.

You have a coach fooling around with a player or two, a few players catch wind of it and want to start some drama and shite by anonymously reporting misconduct which leads to an investigation.

Fast forward to the Spring (March), a few players obtain text messages from the phone of the player who's been fooling around with coach. That player gets pissed and rats out the other players for weed and gets them arrested and face public humiliation.

Now you have a Title IX complaint, lost the best HC in softball you've ever had along with his son while losing the #1 player and leader of your team to transfer. All of the sudden girls are coming out of the woodwork with allegations of a coach "slapping" their fanny at practice and ranking them 1-10 in team photos.

Just sounds like a catfighting faction of girls with way too much drama, jealousy, and vindictiveness.

AU did the right thing, they conducted a lengthy investigation and the perv coach & his dad are gone. Clean up the Title IX issues and they're fine.

exactly.

One thing this board should have learned by now is that Auburn's compliance department has their sh** together. You can believe that we are innocent and do things the right way or you can believe we are the best crooks on the planet.

But you better know we are not going down for some bullcrap softball girl drama. We are too organized for that.

It will pass by the time the first SEC football is in the air.

Pretty much but you're missing a few key details regarding our athletic director. The common denominator is the horndog son. He "resigned" in September 2016, but after his dad basically cried, our athletic director rehired him. Secondly, the AD was asked about the investigation but mislead the media and fans and said he didn't know about it. Third, it appears our AD offered a contract extension to the head coach while the investigation was going on, not a good look. Auburn is and will be fine, it's the dumbass athletic director who is dragging us through the mud right now. Had he never rehired the son, the lawsuit is likely never filed.
