And you would contribute how much to this amount? Easy to spout big numbers, especially if you're not a contributor. Wow. 6 to 8 million to coach COLLEGE football.

I remember setting the trend when we hired Nick Saban. Got a ton of shite for it but now every program is paying their head coach big bucks. At least we won't promote a position coach.

Frankly the amount is zero of your business, but season tickets, various fundraisers that the athletic department conducts, etc. are all ways that one can contribute. Years ago when Mal Moore was ready to fire Shula he started a "pass the hat" campaign to raise his $4M buyout. The campaign raised 3x the amount needed in 24 hours. Proud to have contributed to that as it covered contractual obligation to Shula and made the first 2 years of Saban's salary covered in one 24 hour campaign.

how much was Les making when he was fired? This isn't exclusive to Bama. We're just willing to pay more than some others.
