USC returns 3,500 tickets of their 8,000 allotment. Don't want to drive 2 hours to see their team get embarrassed. Kentucky only returned 1,500!!

This year, South Carolina returned 3,500 tickets out of its 8,000-ticket allotment, McGarity said. Mississippi State and Kentucky returned about 1,500 each, he said

This is surprising. They have a good QB and a talented DC as head coach. UGA is notorious for bed shitting. I penciled this game as one to watch out for for UGA this year.

I mean its Athens as well so even if you lose, you win

When your coach is Muschamp and you've averaged just over 5 wins a season over the last 3 seasons, why would your fan base travel?

Ya know, if this had been a decade ago we would have sold every one of them, or at least the majority of them. This is the fanbase that sold out every home game when we went 0-21. Unfortunately, I think it speaks more to the state of these kids now days than anything. They don't have the same mindset that the older fans and alumni do. If we're in the middle of a winning streak like we were with Spurrier they will be there. But let times get hard and they bail. Sucks but it is what it is....and what it is, is embarrassing.

Nah Athens is just losing its luster. We're over it. Place is lame now.

Why do I have to decide before at the end of July if I am going to a game on November 4th?

Kentucky is now a football school, and USC is a basketball school now.

In all seriousness though, I'm sure USC will have plenty of fans at the game. Also look for this to happen more often with ridiculous ticket prices.

It seems like the fans would also get into the whole angle of former teammates' teams going head to head since Muschamp and Smart played at Georgia together and are still close friends today. Seems like that would make this game even more fun bc of the possibilities there.

I'm still figuring out what games I'll be able to attend in the first half of the season. It would be a no-brainer that I'd be in Athens if this game was in September or early October.

Also, I'm pretty sure UGA returned a hefty amount of tickets for our game in October of 2012, yet that turned out to be a sell-out. Our fans will be in attendance for this one.

Besides, looking at UK's schedule for the year, South Carolina and UGA are their only attractive away games - it's not surprising they're traveling to Athens.

I've been to Athens twice, that's more than enough for me.
