I'm assuming you believe Pettway is going to have an even bigger "crash", right?
I'm not sure what Pettway is going to do. He's a beast, but hasn't proven he can stay healthy and isn't a traditional type of back.
But since we were talking about Guice, he hasn't proven that he can be good against quality opponents. For the life of me, I can't figure out how all these lists have him ranked so high. Guess it's kinda like all other preseason polls and how they are based on rainbows and bullshite.

It couldn't be because he led the league in yards, YPC and TDs for running backs, could it?

he had 65 against AU. That's above his avg?
Yes, 20.7 yards per carry and his freshman year 9.2 yards per carry is above his average, do you follow?

the fact their defense posted better lines against bad competition doesn't mean they were any better. They played very bad teams the second half.
They played 2 of their Top 4 opponents in the last 3 games of their season. Let's also not pretend the first half of their schedule didn't have cupcakes in it like 4-8 Syracuse, 4-8 Charlotte, 3-9 Marshall and 4-8 Duke. 4 of their first 6 games were against shite competition.

We heard that same argument about Fournette. There are numerous reasons a RB could have a bad year, and I'm not saying Guice will.

Fournette followed that by rushing for 1950 yards and 22 TDs.

so, more reason why the game you hung your hat on has no bearing.

Idk why you are hating on Guice so much because your beloved kam Pettway against the two best defences on their schedule rushed for 61 and 17 yds. Seems like it is kinda hard for any RB to gain massive amounts of yds against top rushing defences isn't it?.

Per Pro Football Focus:
In 2016, Nick Chubb averaged 3.6yds after contact per rushing attempt, ranking 1st among SEC RBs with at least 200 carries

Are you aware that only 4 SEC backs even qualify due to the 200 carries?
When 90% of the backs in the league aren't included it's probably not a stat worth mentioning. Just saying.

You really don't know how good Derrius Guice is do You? Or are you just trolling? He's EASILY the best back in the SEC and top 3 in the country and will be a first round pick. Pettway is about the 3rd or 4th best back in the SEC and will be drafted in the 3rd or 4th round. Pettway can't hold Guice's jockstrap. Literally everyone knows that.

Why do y'all keep switching the topic to Pettway? Is it because you can't defend Guice? Understandable. I am not in here touting that Pettway is the goat like you all are about Guice.
Top back in the SEC? fricking please.

It's funny because your argument of him only being good against bad teams falls apart when you realize he was either 1st or 2nd among RBs in Yards, YPC, TDs and YPG in conference and against P5 opponents.
So.....
Yes. That is clearly what Derrius Guice was last year.

Lol cam pettway isn't a top 10 rb. He wouldn't even start at about 3, or maybe even more, sec schools. LSU, Bama, Georgia...he would be playing backup rb at all of these schools just off the top of my head in the sec. shite, I would choose ralph webb at vanderbilt over pettway too, honestly.

If our QB play isn't atrocious and Christian Kirk and Jhamon Ausbon can keep the defense even remotely honest and force them not to stack the box, Trayveon Williams is going to have a monster year. One of the best RBs A&M has had in a while.
Yalls problem is blocking and physicality, like it has been for a while. Yall just get manhandled at the point of attack at the line of scrimmage, on both sides of the ball really. Until you get that solved, nothing will change. Texas a&m is soft.

Maybe. I hope he got stronger in the off season.

This is an SEC message board so this thread will be SEC focused...
But Barkley that low is asinine. He should be at least top 5 at the least.
