So does that mean, based on these reports, the staff wanted to give Womack a shot but would be comfortable with Willis taking that spot over?

What's he think about Jalen and the offense in general under Daboll?

I took it to mean Wills is on the fast track to playing time especially since he is capable of playing any position including possibly center next season.

This clip from RBR probably puts it best-

quote:

Matt Womack started at right tackle and played a series or two, then they let Wills in. Wills also played a lot of RT with the twos. He's still raw, and he missed on a couple of stunts, but I thought he was visibly more athletic than Womack. Saban commented that Wills had quickly earned the right to battle for the starting spot. Personally, I see that as being a question of when, not if.

So, Wills is likely one of the 5 best OL on the team right now, but he arrived during the summer, and still needs to learn his assignments. If he can do that before FSU I think he is the RT. Apparently Wills has WMD's for hands.

Every Bama source out there is agreeing (DrewD included) that Hurts has improved a lot in almost every facet of the game. When you hear he had a tough practice or scrimmage remember that tough day comes vs the Alabama first string Defense. A lot of good QB's gonna have a bad day vs Bama D.

Have not heard one bad word about Daboll. Everyone, players included love the guy.

Daboll, Locksley, and the analyst from OM that was hired during the offseason will have the offense clicking this season IMO.
