Auburn is more worried about beating Georgia than they are Bama. They absolutely have to win that game to have a chance in the West.

Largely true. I'm not going to claim UGA is more important than Bama, although there are a lot of GA-centric posters (myself included) who put them almost equal.

But it's arguably more demoralizing to lose by razor thin margins against mediocre UGA teams than to lose (even by larger margins) to Alabama. I don't think anyone will be particularly forgiving of 1-4 against Alabama, but if we get to 10 wins and/or beat LSU and UGA, it'll give Gus enough breathing room provided Alabama isn't a big blowout.

Gus' future depends on UGA and overall record, and that's not a compliment to UGA.

We know bama is a good team and will be year in year out with saban there. UGA is garbage and we had no business losing to them last year. Gus may not survive losing to UGA and bama at home, but would survive beating uga while losing to bama.

I agree with this mostly except for the "if we". There is no If's in 2017, there is just do!
