You seriously don't know what bargaining chip they had? If Leo Lewis does not testify that he got 15 thousand dollars in cash, that infraction goes away. Of course they had leverage. The school that the NCAA has spent 5 years and tons of money investigating could have gotten off on the most egregious pay for play charge in the NOA had Leo Lewis not given his testimony accurately. In order to make sure they got that testimony, our school better have made sure none of this BS that Ole Miss is spewing will backsplash on us. If they didn't make that happen then they are idiots.

The Asst Athletic Director orchestrating interactions between Boosters & recruits would have still made the Level 1 infraction stick.

The fact that there was a systematic Network of Boosters/Recruits/Players entwined in Barney Farrar's operation is evidenced by the multiple Lev 1's.

I'm hoping you are a rebel troll and there is not this simple minded of a human that actually is a state fan.

To be clear, in your fantasy land somehow MSU can stop LL from speaking to the NCAA, maintain his eligibility, and somehow emerge unscathed.

Then the NCAA just packs up and goes home with their tail between their legs right?

The text messages were damning enough to get a booster disassociated and the Associate AD fired, LL was just icing on the cake and they had him by the nuts.

MSU has dodged a bullet here and has no chips nor do they want any.

On Second thought you must just be a troll, no one else would be so intent in injecting "their" school into this sordid affair, you went too far and blew your cover Johnny Reb.
