The problem in my opinion is that people within the administration went all in so deep that they were forced to deflect and spin in hopes the Ole Miss lawyers would bail them out and get much of it tossed out.

There comes a time when you are in do deep that you worry about your own job and have nothing to lose.

In my opinion, Freeze became yet another sacrificial lamb once they realized the media was digging deep. Bjork knew what was in those NOA's but Freeze was too popular with the Ole Miss masses and he dare not fire him to save his own job?

It seems to me at the end, he found a way out as presure mounted and not only threw Freeze under the bus, but did so with the " We saved ourselves lots of money not having to pay Freeze in letting him go."
