In the eyes of this father, he has little reason to respect his victim's right to life. I do think he deserved a prison sentence, as we can't have people taking the administration of justice into their own hands, but to sentence him to life in prison insinuates that what he did is just as immoral as the worst the world has to offer, and I don't think I want to buy into that.


Disparities in handing out justice in this state and I suppose most, depends on your representation. Folks that can afford good representation get much lighter sentences than those that must rely on public defenders.
