AFAIK none of us is without sin. I don't think that disqualifies us from criticizing Freeze for being an idiot. Damn few of us have shouted about our Christianity or whined about being picked on for being a Christian.

No lie, on FB I've seen seemingly rational Baptist friends say dumb shite like "You don't know what was in his heart" in defense of Freeze. What? I suspect that before this is over and we know more about Freeze's misdeeds, it will be really hard for his supporters to blame this all on the media. (Yeah, that's a thing, too. Go figure.)

That story. It's from Mark and 1st appeared sometime in the 5th century and not in the oldest manuscripts. Yep, a lot of people toss it around like Gospel. A lot of mightly fine people.

I used this as a double entree, for exactly that reason (as it's great hyperbole by man) and you bit hook line and sinker.
