Hey man, you can say magic and fairies all you want. Truth is, God chooses his family, and maybe you're not worthy. Yiu have too much doubt to be sure of anything on that level of spirituality. I know this because of how you speak. You don't have a spiritual bone in your body, and thats fine, just don't criticize those of us that do by saying we believe in fairytales and such. You don't know what anyone has been through in their life and don't know anything about them. Those who seek God will find him. Those who disrespect him and make a mockery of him like he's a "fairytale" will never know him. I feel sorry for you. I hope one day you will humble yourself and go through something that forces you to cry out to your creator and ask for him into your life like i have. Then, and only then, will you learn the truth. I hope that happens for you I really do.

That's a great post and all but there are several problems with it.

One. I never said anything about god (a creator/creators). I do believe that a creator or creators is well within the realm of possibility. What I said was, that humans could never comprehend a being that advanced over them enough to know what that being wants or expects of us. I also pointed out that this creator didn't just create humans as the dominant and ultimate creation in the universe when this universe is (highly likely) filled with far older and far mor intelligent species than humans. My issue is with belief in religion, not with the belief in a creator. Religion is man made and has nothing to do with the creator (if there is one). It's obvious because all religious texts reflect the level of understanding of the universe of the people who wrote it.

Take the Bible for instance. It's supposed to be a guide for humans to make their lives better and more complete both physically and spiritually. So why is it that it mentions nothing of sanitation and sterilization techniques? You would think that if god helped write this book to guide us on earth, he might would of wanted to mention "hey, sometimes water has parasites and bacteria in it that can make you really ill or kill you. Might want to boil it before drinking it". No, there is no mention of things like this. Why? Because the humans who wrote it didn't know about these things at the time. No, instead, they were using cow urine as an antiseptic.

Second issue: You stated that I don't know what someone has gone through in their life that god helped them out of. Ok? Let's go down this road. So the Christian god helped someone through a bad time in their life. You realize that every religion can make that same claim right? So which god is the right god? I guarantee that there are millions of Muslims who feel the same as you. That their god helped them through a tough situation. Does that mean Muslims are right and we should all be Muslim? I could find the same cases amongst Scientologist, Buddhist, Hindu, Shinto, Zoroastrianists, neo-pagans...... Are ALL of these gods out there?
