I stopped in Clarksville one afternoon to buy some peaches. Frank and Barbara were there shopping for peaches also.

I introduced myself to Coach, we shook hands and out of no where he said "young man, do you know what good peaches look like?" I answered, I think so.

Being from Georgia he spent 5 minutes of his time teaching me how to find the best peaches.

And 38 years later I still use his methods to by the best peaches

RIP Coach

I went to the catfish hole one night and was met with a longer than normal wait, once they finally had a table ready we were going through the restaurant when we passed Coach Broyles who was seated at a table with some other prominent people not relevant to this story and Pat was there in and razorback stories and tales were being told. The way to our table caused us to pass right by coach and of course the opportunity had to be taken.

"What's good tonight coach?"

"The catfish of course"

"That's what I'll be ordering, then"

"Well uh here take a piece with you to help make up ya mind it's what you want tunight."

He lifted his plate and gave me a piece right from his plate.

:csb:

Hard to believe we lost both men in less than a week. :( and they say these things come in 3s...
