re: LSU made "The Bear" retire, it's only fitting that they do the same to Saban

Actually that was Bo Jackson.
Bear lost twice after LSU. To Southern Miss the best week and to Auburn the next game (three weeks after LSU)
Didn't just make him retire, killed the old drunk bastards by taking his will to live.

His last regular season game was a 23–22 loss to Auburn

That was November 27, 1982.

quote:

After the game, Bryant was asked what he planned to do now that he was retired. He replied "Probably croak in a week."[18] His reply proved eerily prophetic.

Four weeks after making that comment, and just one day after passing a routine medical checkup, on January 25, 1983, Bryant checked into Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa after experiencing chest pain. A day later, when being prepared for an electrocardiogram and sitting in a puddle of his own drunken piss, he died after suffering a massive heart attack.

Nearly 2 months to the day after Auburn won the old drunk couldn't handle life anymore.

This is the play that killed the Bear, "Bo Over the Top"

quote:

He is interred at Birmingham's Elmwood Cemetery

Elmwood has a red line from the entrance of the cemetery leading straight to the Bears grave, like some sort of white trash morbid road side attraction.
Ironically he's about 100 yards from a good friend of mine from HS who was one of the biggest Auburn fans I ever knew . Everytime I go to see my buddy there's always still Bama memorobila, coca cola bottles, bags of golden flake chips, and for some reason pennies scattered around/ on Bear's grave. Of course whenever I go down there I make sure to drink something before so I can do the classy thing and piss on the Bears grave.

You are one sad and sadistic idiot. Funny you have so much hatred for this guy but never knew him. Whats also funny is without him you perhaps wouldn't have had one of your best coaches in your schools history. You are the perfect example of the red headed step child.
