The OP's post is a complete and total falsehood. It was actually the 38-29 loss to Southern Miss in Tuscaloosa that caused Bear to think seriously about retirement. And it wasn't until December 15 that Bryant made his resignation and retirement official - a month and almost two weeks AFTER the LSU game.
