The most interesting thing about Bama LSU was that Bama was unbeaten in Tiger Stadium from 1969 to 2000. LSU had some great teams and Bama had more than a few teams that were not dominant or even very good through that period
But even the lesser Tide teams failed to lose in Red Stick.
Looking back it is still hard to believe.
The USM loss in '82 to Reggie Collier and Co. was the impetus that pushed Bear to retire. It broke a 57 game winning streak in Denney Stadium that dated back to 1963.
Granted Bama played most of their big games at Legion Field in those days. Still that was very impressive to go almost 20 years unbeaten at the on campus stadium.
