On Finebaum just now, says some folks picking UGA, but Tony says Gators stronger in the trenches, and thinks uga may not have manpower to protect Eason. Said Sumlin may be on hot seat more than Jones or Bielema, says TAMU has spent recently $450 MILLION on athletics and what does it have to show after Johnny left.

I see what he's saying here, but that's kind of a red herring. They spent $450m on athletics and now lead the nation in athletic revenue. With that said, I think even A&M fans would tell you they have underachieved since Johnny football left

Way to go out on a limb. I'd guess he also probably picked the Patriots to win the Super Bowl and Warriors to be NBA champs.

Well that's cool but if you can't score, you can't win...

I just don't see UF as having particularly strong personnel in the trenches.

Even more reason to jump on the Vols bandwagon.

UGA OL is definitely the biggest unknown in the East. If they play like they did last year, this is a 8-4/9-3 team at best. If they look like they belong in the SEC, this could be a really good team.

Somebody has to emerge the least crippled.

Winning the East for the last 5 years or so is like winning the Special Olympics

It's a safe pick. The dawgs look to me to be a year away. We need contributions from 2-3 freshman on the ol two deep and that's never good. They are incredibly talented freshman (much more so that the upperclassmen) but still..

9-3/10-2 is UGA ceiling this year. Could be worse with a few injuries.

If Georgia doesn't win the East this year Kirby Smart should be fired on the spot. It is so ripe for the picking. They have salty defense, the best running back in the East, and a pro prospect quarterback.
