That list came from literally the NFL itself. It's on their website. No offense, but I'll take the NFL's opinion of their own players over that of an internet poster from "Over Yonder", Alabama

I'm not saying Hershel Walker is one of the greatest RBs in NFL history but saying he was an average back is very inaccurate. He had a solid career

Solid = average
Average = solid

The list doesn't represent the "NFLs opinion". It is what it claims to be "Gil Brandt's top ...."

It came from one writer that works for NFL Network. Barry Sanders is almost unanimously considered at the worst a top 5 RB and he had him 8. How can you defend a list that has a rookie (Elliot) among the greatest of all time. It's another click bait article to get people talking.

Here's another list (top ten) from that very same writer. In this he has Barry Sanders no.2 not 8.Some of the other player's rankings are different. He also doesn't even have Bo Jackson among his 6 honorable mentions.

If plenty of people truly considered Bo among the greatest of all time he would be in the Pro FB HOF or at least in the discussion for it. I do believe he had the talent to do so but others things came in the way.

And, for the record my buddy was the absolute best HS football player I ever knew. He was an absolute stud. We played together in SW GA.
Had offers from every school imaginable, he chose AU and NEVER played a down at Auburn.

My point is that you have to have amazing talent to play in the SEC.
