I would have picked the 1940 MSU team at 10-0-1.

They actually had something going until the start of WWII.

But Deere Lowered, that was a looooong time ago. At this point, I don't know if you can truly say anyone was a National Champion until after the mid 50's or early 60's.

But Bammers have to have something to count by.

I think he means 1940, not 1941. We were undefeated, beat Alabama head to head in a shutout and Bama claims that title.
