In 1983 Texas beat AU like a drum in what was the biggest game ever played in Auburn up to that time. Texas was more deserving than Auburn.

Troll on.

Want to actually stack up the resumes of Nebraska, Miami, Auburn, and Texas from 1983?

You'll realize quickly that Auburn played the strongest schedule and had the best wins of the group. They also lost to Texas in the second game of the season. Texas dropped the very last game of the season with the national title on the line.

I believe 8 teams went to Bowl games from Auburn's schedule that season. 7 won. The only bowl loss was Texas, IIRC.

ETA I still have the Coke bottle from that year with schedule and results
