"I've already been to all three places multiple times, and I didn't have fun in two of them, but did have fun in one of them each time. It just so happens the one place I do have fun in is closest and most convenient. Help, I have such a difficult decision to make."
Not sure what the dilemma is based on how you explained things in the OP, but if I were you, I'd go to Kentucky. If you have the time, make it a road trip and hit cool spots on the way based on your other interests. I'd definitely go through the bourbon spots in Kentucky, maybe hit Lynchburg for the Jack Daniels tour, catch a Predators game in Nashville, and/or stop in Chattanooga for any number of the tourist attractions if that's your thing, or all of the microbreweries and/or the TN Stillhouse currently being built on the riverfront. You can plan the trip however you want, but there are tons of cool things to do along the way. Of course, just going to the place where you've had fun before is a good option, and hitting the links and/or Charleston would only sweeten the pot.
