Upon discovering that Google Map's street view has a "time travel" option, that lets you see all the other pictures it's taken of an area, usually back to about 2007 or 2008.
Looking back at Tuscaloosa just 10 years ago and being able to jump back and forth is amazing, especially the areas with new condos, old restaurants and in our case, Pre and Post Tornado.
I've been told this feature has been around for about 3 years, but it's the first time I was made aware. Just about killed 3 hours looking at my old college hangouts, my home town and current place.
I imagine others would get a kick out of this with their college towns, Hopefully this isn't too out of left field.

It's an awesome feature in general and will only get cooler as time passes

It is pretty interesting. The Dickson skreet area had maybe one building over three-stories in the 2007 view. Now it has a 9-story, and several 4-6 story buildings. The density downtown over a decade is sort of shocking when you see how it used to be.
The area now called "uptown" was mostly fields.
We be growin too fast, but at least some of it is vertical.

I cannot wait to look at Oxford and see nothing has changed over the last 100 years. It's the same old, redneck town that it is with no change over the years. KKK still resides there and everything with it.

One thing that strikes me that I never thought about. I remember they began cracking down on bikes being locked to whatever around 2009 or 2010. I heard a lot of fuss about it, and remember thinking it was never even something I thought about when I was hear years ago... but good god, the 2007 Campus has bikes fricking everywhere. Did we have a hipster invasion towards the end of the 00s?
