Lost in the "hurr durr frick Auburn" talk is the fact that Jacobs has said he wants to keep the iron bowl. So, not really running from Alabama. If we could keep the IB and get back our old traditional rivalries that would be great. And on top of that is the geographic reasoning, etc

Yeah, great for Auburn, they get their "traditional rivals" back, but Bama and UT have to end their series, and we then have to find new cross division rivals for Arkansas, Missouri, Tennesee, and Georgia. If you just match up those four somehow, you've got two really blah cross division rivals. Then you've got the problem of Bama and Auburn meeting the week before Atlanta--yes, Arkansas and Missouri could potentially face a rematch under the current schedule setup, but the odds of that happening are a whole lot less than a Bama-Auburn rematch.

I just don't see anything good coming from Auburn going to the East. I'd rather see the SEC get rid of divisions than see Auburn and Missouri swap places.

Move to a nine game schedule already. I'm in agreement with Saban. Fewer shite opponents, more sec games. Other conferences do it and it'll happen eventually
