While this is just the way hiring coaches works, I'd be a bit nervous that Morris is Cracker Sumlin.

I'm not gonna pretend to know the ins and outs of SMU but Morris took over a shite program and at least has them trending upward. Whereas Sumlin came from a Houston program he maintained but didnt really build himself. Plus Morris is an Ag and would only ever leave for NFL.

Yeah that would be my worry, but yes we could get Morris whenever. With few exceptions I'll give the new coach a fair chance but someone like Chip would actually have me excited about the future
