Tennessee bans BLM and Antifa from Colleges
In Tennessee BLM and Antifa will be expressly forbidden by law to shut down conservative speakers. School officials cannot cancel speakers they don’t agree with, nor can they punish professors who mention conservative ideals as long as they conform to the class that is being taught.
BLM and Antifa will find that interfering in speakers on public university campuses is now a felony and I expect it will be rigorously enforced.
Would normally post in poli board... but this topic is touched here occasionally for some unknown reason and just thought you folk that don't go there would appreciate it.

The state legislature can try but this won't hold up a day in court.

Good for UT!
I hope they can make it stick.

Tennessee passed the nation's first child restraint law for autos and also a strict DUI law in 1982. Sometimes the legislature gets out front.
Hope this sticks.

I'm all for this. I don't care if it doesn't hold up in court. Leftist groups shouldn't be able to silence their opponents.
Making it a felony is just a big frick you from our legislature

Now, it's time to race bait and negatively recruit against Tennessee

I believe the Southern Poverty Law Center and the ACLU should jump onboard to sue these groups for violating the civil rights of conservative, or liberal for that matter, speakers. It's what they say they are all about, right?

it mentioned "interfering with public speakers" as being a felony... so does this mean when reporters cutoff Butch at a presser and ask him why there were 14 defensive players on the field they will be charged with a felony?

Tennessee, hats off to you my friend. I only hope the rest of us will follow your lead.

Congratulations Tennessee! For years academia has been the bastion for far left ideologies and unrealistic world views, while using oppressive measures to keep their students from being exposed to differing opinions. Maybe this will be the beginning of a new movement to neutralize the monopoly it's had on the minds of our young people.
