It's way early, but I believe florida will beat UM in week 1

Michigan has a very good D coordinator, but no amount of superb coaching can completely hide the losses of like 80% of starters leaving.
We also still have glaring Oline and QB issues.
I hope I am wrong, but I see the gators beating my wolverines.
Michigan's oline got shredded by an FSU defense last year that was not nearly as elite and talented as this year's florida defense.

Are you saying we have no chance, Finch? Without even seeing our quarterback?
The defense held Iowa to a record low for the Outback Bowl and was missing both starting Safeties, three of our top linebackers and several defensive linemen -- filled in with lower classmen.
Our offense returns almost the entire roster save three players.
Sharpe and Dil' left the line, Dil' got outplayed by his backup and Sharpe was pretty decent but the line should be, finally, complete.
The quarterback is the only other position, and really, we have no idea if they'll be good. If they play well, Michigan will have their work cut out of them.
All of our best receivers, all of our best running backs, our best Tight End, literally at every skill position we're returning everyone.
Guys with real experience.
We could get blown out again (failure to show up) and you can continue to flaunt how 'you knew it' (even as quiet as you were after the Bowl) or, maybe, McElwain is at the very least a decent coach and proves you wrong again.
To just say ''no, it won't happen'' is kind of pathetic for a fan of any team. Good thing they didn't have that mindset going to LSU.

If they don't its an indictment of McElwain.

The stars are absolutely aligned for him to succeed, if he can't take this opportunity he might not have what it takes to be a Gator.
But a lot of guys are coming back on both sides of the ball with tons of talent and experience against a team that has one but not the other.
Should be a win, but Harbaugh is a legitimately good coach so it should tell us everything we need to know.

I believe this too, although we have historically sucked against Michigan teams in bowls.

i feel the same way. mac hasn't done anything to show me he's an elite coach and capable of winning this game. let mac blow them out, win the east, and beat bama by 30+ in the sec championship game. then we'll talk.

Weird, McElwain decimated the team that beat Michigan last year but -- Michigan is still an elite program, and they played Florida State much better than us (although our biggest problem was the quarterback).
HOWEVER, I am not budging from my: frick McElwain if he loses badly -- if he loses a close game (he shouldn't even ESPN is predicting us to win) then maybe not so bad.
If it's a blowout, it's time to go shopping again.

After doing more research this past week, i think Michigan's front 7 is going to be super athletic and disruptive, but maybe inconsistent. UF's OL still isn't blowing anyone away, but I call that even money.
On the flip side, UF's front 7, especially their starting front 4, should shred the Michigan OL.
Also, UF's special teams should be far and away better than Michigan's.
Honestly, the only advantage Michigan has upon further inspection is on paper with recruiting rankings and not by much, and maybe a little bit at QB because of experience, but that guy isn't scaring anyone.
I though UF's secondary was inexperienced. Holy crap, Michigan's is hopelessly out matched against UF's WR's.
On the flip side, UF is experienced on the back end, so as long as they don't make mistakes, they will make an inexperienced Michigan offense chip away at them underneath.
The more I look at this game, the more I think Florida is the better team.
Unless the QB issues continue, and in that case it'll be VERY CLOSE.

Will we be on the home or visitor's side? I'm about to start looking for some tickets.

It's listed as Mich @ UF on every schedule I've seen...so I'd assume we're the home team.

Stub hub shows the seating and teams.

Stub hub must have just added that because it didn't show that the other day. Thanks for the help

just opened it up, on the field it shows Michigan on what appears to be the west side and Florida on what appears to be the East side.
