LSU's Alvin Dark should have made MLB's hall, but did not.

I'll be waiting for you to let me know when he gets in

I love when some douche frick bama fan comes in here saying how college baseball is irrelevant. Only reason it's irrelevant is bc y'all freaking suck at it. Hence the whole reason you brought up softball. Bc y'all are good at it. Nobody gives a frick about softball. Way less than baseball. Shut the hell up. We get y'all suck at it and don't like claiming it. WE GET IT

Steroids kept a baseball guy out. And you'll accuse us as cheaters.

I'll excuse the Todd Walker talk.. Belle had a great career cut short, missed on some WS ring oppty's and pissed off the journalist all while under a cloud of roid suspicion= Not getting in HOF.

I know Bama has 2/3. Football and baseball (Joe Sewell was pre-SEC so yes Frank Thomas is the first former SEC player in Cooperstown).
If Sprewell had not gone crazy, he'd likely have a shot at it.
I don't follow the NBA that closely; thought Horry would have a shot when I kept hearing his name in the playoffs. Sadly, his numbers don't come close to HoF status, but bloody heck does the guy have a lot of rings. 7x NBA championship rings. That's the most for a player not on the Celtics during their insane run from the late 50s to the early 70s. Yes, even more than Jordan. It's also tied for the most rings by a player without being in the HoF (the other is a Celtic, obviously - Jim Loscutoff)

He hit enough big clutch shots, and has enough rings, playing for three different franchises, that he may have a shot.
If it was a fan vote he would be a slam dunk. Pun intended.

Doesn't matter. 7 ppg. He spent the majority of his career coming off the bench, and was never the guy on any team ever. He didn't win those championships, Hakeem, Kobe, Shaq, and Duncan won him those championships.

Ehhhh.... he was pretty good in the playoffs. Averaged more than 10 per game in the playoffs each season for Houston.
Still not good enough to get him into the HoF, but he certainly played a part in winning those rings - at least with the Rockets.

He is known for the rings, the clutch shots, popular player.
He is already more remembered than a lot of HOFs.

Oh my god I just read in this thread multiple gumps think Horry has a shot at the hall
I laughed when the LSU corndog thought Walker would get in Cooperstown, but you gumps take the cake
Robert Horry
7.0 ppg, 4.8rpg, 2.1apg
Hall of fame bound

This may be the most tRant thread ever. People are actually myopic enough to compare Robert Horry to Charles Barkley.
Barkley is 1 of the NBA's 50 Greatest. Horry wouldn't make the Houston Rockets HoF.
Stay golden tRant. Never change

This argument is pretty silly. I love Robert Horry. Played ball with him at REC center a few times. Good dude. Lots of rings. He's nowhere near the player Barkley was. Chuck was a beast. Watch him at auburn and with the sixers. He was unstoppable.

Barkley was the leading scorer on the Dream Team too. Best player in the world.
Horry hasn't even been a top 5 player on his own team since college.
