Sage Steele being fired for going conservative on air.....Max Kellerman, on multiple occasions, saying it's ok to stereotype southerners as racist because of the civil war with no reprimand. The liberal adgenda is evident on a daily basis, which is ESPN's right to push but it defys what the free market wants. First, they never should have geared towards politics but even after they did why would they align themselves with a leftist adgenda with NO ratings to be had. If anything they should have aligned themselves with a right wing, conservative adgenda strictly for ratings as that adgenda is the only way to get ratings in the political arena.

I assume they thought they'd draw in the edgy angsty millennials with their liberal bias not cluing into them being broke and/or being smart enough to find their sports entertainment elsewhere.

I don't know that their politics has played that big of a role for ESPN's fall (i.e. the contracts with the leagues) but I think it's pretty stupid to assume it had no part in it.
